This is one of my favorite books. It’s another one that I come back to over and over at different seasons of my life. I’ve already mentioned that I have some perfectionist tendancies, and this book is a wonderful invitation to always choose living in the moment over making everything perfect.
Embracing imperfection is something I’ve always struggle with, and this book is a wonderful reminder that connection and being present in my life is way (way) more important than things looking or being exactly the way I think they should.
Also, I love Shauna Niequist’s soulful writing style. The short chapters of this book were perfect for reading and then spending a day reflecting on. This is an excellent book if you need a reminder that your life is way to valuable to miss trying to be perfect.
